Elegant, quirky, and jazzy – like the roaring 20s and the theme of the speakeasy, a tailor shop – the cocktail menu takes inspiration from some of the classic drinks that made history, with a Peruvian twist. In creating the Collection 2023 menu, the team picked their favorite classic cocktails from the 1920-30s and incorporated Peruvian flavors using a number of different techniques and styles as well as collaborating with local farmers and supporting the city local markets, which is where the team gets their produce. The menu design complements the speakeasy style and theme: it is a collection of garments, darts, fabric pre-cuts and styles, and every cocktail comes in a special vessel or with a garnish that celebrates the work of the tailor.

From the Sastreria Martinez Collection 2023 menu, one of the team’s favorites is Mr. Martinez 2.0, which is made with Johnnie Walker Gold infused with cheesecake, blanco vermouth with thyme, bergamot, quinine and the cacao mucilage, the white pulp that surrounds the cocoa beans inside the pod and has a unique tropical, fresh and fruity taste. Other native fruit species are included and celebrated in the list, like the Peruvian passion fruit Tumbo, the Andes’ mint Muña, and Choclo, the large variety of corn from the Andes and Macambo, the lesser known cousin of the cacao plant.

The drinks can be enjoyed with a selection of Peruvian dishes that the chef at Sastreria Martinez designed to go with the drinks. The menu features cold and hot dishes, like Salmon Tartar, Tuna Ceviche Nikkei style, Octopus, and the star of the menu Pork Belly.

The team also included non-alcoholic classics made with the same style and techniques. Every drink tastes and looks like its alcoholic counterpart, as the team wanted to give to every single guest the possibility to experience the real speakeasy vibe, even if not consuming alcohol.
