Texas-based whiskey makers Oak & Eden continue to innovate with the launch of the first release in its Reserve Series, Bourbon & Amburana
Oak & Eden has unveiled its Reserve Series with the launch of Bourbon & Amburana. The new collection from the Texas-based whiskey makers marries the brand’s spirit with distinctive woods from across the globe.
Amburana wood hails from South America and offers strong notes of vanilla in its raw form. Oak & Eden Bourbon & Amburana uses these notes along with its High Rye Bourbon (60% corn, 36% rye, 4% malted barley) to create a whiskey filled with aromas of gingerbread, cinnamon, smooth vanilla, and baked apples, leading to a balanced palate with a touch of sweetness.
“Our interest in Amburana reflects our commitment to innovation and the exploration of how different woods influence whiskey,” says Oak & Eden Co-Founder Brad Neathery. “The rise of Amburana-finished whiskeys isn’t just a trend; it’s a testament to the industry’s ongoing quest for distinctiveness and quality.”
Oak & Eden is best known for In-Bottle Finishing, where flavor is added to the whiskey after it’s aged. In this case, the distillery adds flavor by adding a spiral cut piece of oak to its whiskey after aging.
The newly unveiled Reserve Series, along with all of the brand’s high-proof expressions, undergoes no cold chill filtering. The brand recommends enjoying the bourbon neat or on the rocks.
Bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV), Bourbon & Amburana is priced at $59.99 per 750ml and available in stores as well as online.
