Kimpton Fitzroy London Unveils The Terrace: A Rosé-Soaked Riviera Hideaway in Bloomsbury

Kimpton Fitzroy London The Terrace

There’s a certain spell that falls over London when summer arrives. The grey recedes, the city loosens its collar, and some hidden, half-forgotten Mediterranean spirit seems to flicker just beneath the surface of its Georgian façades and Victorian arcades. It’s precisely this fleeting magic that Kimpton Fitzroy London has bottled — or perhaps decanted — in its newest venture: The Terrace, launched in partnership with celebrated Provence winemaker, Minuty Rosé.

Tucked within the hotel’s open-air courtyard, The Terrace promises an immersive Côte d’Azur daydream right in the heart of Bloomsbury. Think vines climbing soft-lit trellises, lush hydrangeas nodding under strings of festoon lighting, and that gentle hush you only hear when afternoon drifts toward dusk on a Riviera terrace.

The menu is a love letter to the South of France, each dish and drink composed like a short verse in a summer poem. Signature cocktails, designed to court the balmy evenings, include the provocatively named Nice to Meet You — a bright, tequila-based affair splashed with Minuty M, Volcan Tequila, strawberry, chili, and pineapple juice. There’s also a Minuty Rosé Old Fashioned, a coastal reimagining of a classic, capturing both familiarity and a sense of salt-kissed adventure.

To accompany these radiant pours, the kitchen offers indulgent small plates: a native lobster brioche roll slicked with Café de Paris butter and lemon aioli, an artisanal charcuterie board that reads like a Mediterranean road trip, and a spread of oysters from Carlingford Lough, alongside Sturia Oscietra caviar served with crème fraîche blinis — little edible sonnets to the sea.

Guests can choose from an impressive lineup of Minuty rosés — available by the glass, bottle, or magnum for those truly endless afternoons — including Minuty M, Minuty Prestige, and the coveted Rose et Or and 281 cuvées.

Opening on 18 June, The Terrace will welcome guests daily from noon to 9:30 PM, with last bookings at 8 PM. Ever-pragmatic about British weather’s quirks, the space boasts a retractable roof to keep the Riviera dream alive rain or shine.

Reservations for The Terrace are recommended and can be made at the Kimpton Fitzroy London website. The sun-drenched soul of the French coast has officially landed in London — rosé glass in hand.
