The Notch Nantucket Island Single Malt Whisky 15 Year Old is America’s best Single Malt Whisky, according to the 2020 International Wine & Spirits Competition. In fact, it was one of only four Whiskies to be awarded an Outstanding Gold medal at the annual spirits competition

“Appealingly, rich sherry cask aromas are elegantly echoed on the palate to reveal an abundance of rounded, stewed and dried fruits. Engagingly robust, with upfront dark chocolate and vanilla balanced with drizzled honey, coconut and spicy highlights,” wrote the judges about the 15 Year Old Whisky.

It was an excellent competition for Triple Eight Distillery, which releases The Notch. The Massachusetts spirits company took home a total of four medals, including the previously mentioned Outstanding Gold, as well as a silver for The Notch Nantucket Island Single Malt Whisky 12 Year Old, as well as bronzes for Triple Eight Distillery Cranberry Vodka and Triple Eight Distillery Gale Force Gin.
