Kendall Jenner Will “Free the Nip” With Launch Of 818 Minis

818 Minis Kendall Jenner Free the Nip tequila

Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila has always lived at the intersection of celebrity, culture, and craft. Now, to celebrate 8.18 Day 2025, the award-winning brand is shrinking things down, but also setting things free. Enter the 818 Minis, 50ML bottles of the label’s signature Blanco and Reposado expressions, and the “Free the Nip” campaign.

818 Minis

Small but deliberate, these pocket-sized pours—sometimes called “shooters” or “nips”—deliver the same premium tequila that has won over bartenders and home enthusiasts alike, but in a format that feels less minibar, more statement piece. In other words, they’re designed not just to drink, but to carry. And they’re set to roll out nationwide this September.

“Free the Nip”: A Campaign with a Wink

To mark the release, 818 Tequila is debuting a playful new campaign called “Free the Nip.” The tongue-in-cheek tagline reimagines the 818 Mini not as something hidden in airplane carts, but as an accessory clipped to purses, phone cases, or even an outfit. It’s a deliberate move into the territory where luxury meets lifestyle.

“We designed the 818 Minis to be chic and fun,” said Kendall Jenner, Founder of 818 Tequila. “The release is a direct response to what our fans have been asking for—it’s about growing our portfolio and making 818 more accessible in everyday moments. We’ve made our minis into your new favorite accessory.”

Dropping September 8 at noon ET, fans can also grab an 818 Minis launch bundle featuring a collectible 818 Mini Bag Charm exclusively through Gopuff.

Culture, Fashion, and a Little Treat

The brand’s positioning of the new line goes beyond packaging. According to Kathleen Braine, CMO of Calabasas Beverage Company, “People are clipping charms and lip glosses to their bags, so we thought, why not the 818 Mini?” It’s a strategy aimed squarely at Gen Z and younger Millennials, who have embraced what’s known as “Little Treat Culture”—small, fun indulgences that brighten daily life.

The Blanco 818 Mini will retail at $3.99 SRP, while the Reposado Mini comes in at $4.99 SRP, available at stores like BevMo!, Total Wine & More, and Remedy Liquor beginning in September. For more information, head over to the brand’s official website.

With their portable size and playful campaign, the 818 Minis position themselves as more than just tequila. They’re proof that even the smallest bottle can make the biggest cultural statement.
