Kahlua Nitro Cold Brew Cans Are Made With Rum And Are Hitting Shelves Across America

Kahlua Nitro Cold Brew

Kahlua Nitro Cold Brew has arrived. With more and more ready-to-drink options entering the market, it seems the Pernod Ricard-owned brand has decided to amp up their canned cocktail range. A couple years back, the coffee liqueur maker released an RTD Espresso Martini.

Made with rum, Kahlúa coffee liqueur, and 100% Arabica cold brew coffee that has been steeped for at least 18 hours, Kahlua Nitro Cold Brew gives fans another opportunity to enjoy their favorite liqueur on the go. The canned coffee hard beverage is delivered by a nitrogen-filled widget technology right in the can to create a smooth, refreshing taste and can be poured in fewer than three seconds, according to the company.

Each 200 ml (about seven ounces) can only has 80 calories and comes in at 4.5% ABV. Kahlua Nitro Cold Brew is available in four-packs for a suggested retail price of $9.99. And they will be hitting retailers nationwide, including Kroger, Albertsons, Total Wine, and more at some point in the near future.

According to Kahlua’s tasting notes, the Nitro Cold Brew is dark brown in color with a creamy layer on top. The nose features fresh arabica coffee with hints of caramel balanced that are balanced by Kahlua’s traditional sugar cane rum, vanilla, and chocolate notes. Foam provides a creamy quality to the medium bodied drink. The palate is smooth with creamy coffee and caramel notes, blanched by hints of chocolate and vanilla without the traditional coffee bitterness . The finish is soft and smooth with lingering coffee.

Kahlua Nitro Cold Brew is one of several coffee-based RTD canned cocktails to hit the market in the past few months. Most recently, Tia Maria launched an Iced Coffee Frappe, which is made with 100% Arabica coffee, milk cream, and Tia Maria coffee liqueur.

Meanwhile, Kahlua has put together this quick, fun spot for their new cans:
