Mexican restaurant and Tequila bar Ixchel brings Chelsea one of London’s most impressive agave selections alongside a collection of signature cocktails
Ixchel brings Mexican food and premium tequila to Chelsea, offering Londoners the opportunity to pair traditional dishes with one of the UK’s finest agave spirits collections. Mexico-born head chef Ximena Gayosso Gonzalez guides the tapas-style menu, which celebrates the fresh flavors of the Yucatán Peninsula. Guests can expect ceviches, tacos, and tostadas that showcase traditional Tulumnese recipes. The hidden bar’s extensive tequila and mezcal list is one of Europe’s most impressive and also features 20 signature cocktails, including six different margaritas.
While food and drink are at the heart of Ixchel, it’s the space that creates a truly unique environment. On ground level, light fills the restaurant thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows, while the downstairs bar’s mood is dark and seductive. Work from Mexican artists, including hand-woven artworks and sculptures can be found throughout both floors.

We have more than 20 different cocktails which includes six different margaritas, house and dessert cocktails. We also offer some beautiful non alcoholic drinks that are as tasty as the previous ones.
What’s your signature drink–or your favorite drink currently on the menu–and why should I order it?
The Beetroot Margarita is my favorite by far as it is different and quite refreshing, and anyone can drink it from the start to the end of their dinner.
