Husk

Husk Rutledge Hill Nashville

Rutledge Hill’s Husk offers guests a mix of food and cocktails that utilize local ingredients via seasonal menus

Located in up-and-coming Rutledge Hill, Husk sits just a few blocks south of Historic Broadway and spotlights local farmers and ingredients, while delivering delicious southern food. On top of the delicious dishes, the space also offers some of Nashivlle’s best cocktails that also focus on ingredients from local purveyors.

Bar Manager Adam Morgan tells us…

Please describe Husk as if you’re explaining the experience of walking through the doors and ordering your first drink.

Husk is a spotlight on local farmers, purveyors, and ingredients. Our menus, food and drink, are dictated by the seasons and what they provide. The cocktails are a mirror to what our talented chefs bring to the table. All that to be said, it is laid out in an approachable setting where drinks are familiar yet still intriguing.

How would you describe Husk in a three-word text to a friend that you’re trying to convince to join you?

Creativity made relative

Other than Husk, what else is happening in the neighborhood that you’re in?

Nashville is a hot bed for continuous growth. The area that Husk is in is transforming to a quiet neighborhood to the next mixed-use development. I won’t recognize it in a year’s time.

Aside from Happy Hour, when is the best time to get to the bar?

The bar is fortunate to constantly be busy. Brunch is always a great time to come and indulge in some cocktails and delicious southern food.

Describe the average drinkers that you serve?

What I like is that there isn’t an average drinker. It’s always a mixed bag depending on what’s happening in the city. That never knowing is where the excitement lies.

Please tell us more about your drinks menu.

The cocktail menu is smaller yet effective. The idea is to have something for everyone while still carrying the restaurant’s ethos.

What’s your signature drink–or your favorite drink currently on the menu–and why should I order it?

Currently, the Placebo Effect. It’s refreshing, earthy, and compliments the food menu well.

How much do drinks cost?

The average range is $14-$18. We typically have a higher end cocktail that showcases one of our single barrel whiskey picks.

Is there anything to eat?  If so – what’s your favorite dish on the menu?

The bar offers the full menu so guests can have the full experience. Our beef tartare is the best version of that style of dish I’ve ever had. I could eat it every day.

What are the distinguishing features of Husk?

The passion and care the team brings day in and day out. You can see it in all of the details of service and product.

What’s that music we hear playing on the Husk stereo?

The bartenders all have our preferences when it comes to the playlist. You can always count on something lively like Thundercat to be playing.
