Casamigas Jalapeño Tequila was born from a conversation between Cindy Crawford and her husband Casamigos co-founder Rande Gerber.
Cindy Crawford has her own spicy tequila: Casamigas Jalapeño Tequila. The new agave spirit joins her husband and Casamigos co-founder Rande Gerber’s Casamigos range. Gerber, George Clooney and Mike Meldman founded the company back in 2013, before selling to Diageo in 2017 for a reported $700 million plus up to a further $300 million based on the brand’s performance.
Casamigas is a 100% blue weber agave jalapeño tequila flavored with jalapeños to create a “spicy yet balanced tequila with just the right level of heat,” says the brand. “A few years ago, Rande and I were watching the sun set and we talked about how fun it would be for me to do a spicy tequila. Voila—Casamigas was born,” notes Crawford. Adding, “As much as I love Casamigos, my go to drink for a fun night is a skinny, spicy Casamigos margarita,”
Casamigas Jalapeño Tequila offers notes of spicy jalapeños, hints of citrus and sweet agave. The spicy jalapeño flavors offer a pleasant kick that is balanced with a smooth, citrus finish. The brand recommends enjoying in a spicy margarita or as a chilled shot.
The bottle, designed by Rande, features flames of fire, a jalapeño and Cindy’s trademark lips and beauty mark sketched across it, along with a red “A” crossing out the “O” in Casamigos. The Casamigos’ founders’ initials are also crossed out with the addition of “CC,” and Cindy Crawford’s signature is added in between Clooney’s and Gerber’s.
“Cindy has obviously been part of the Casamigos journey since day one, and I’m excited that she now gets to put her special touches on Casamigas,” says Gerber. “It’s been over six years in the making.”
The Cindy Crawford spicy tequila Casamigas Jalapeño Tequila is now available nationwide in both 750ml and 1L bottles priced at $49.99 and $60.99 respectively.
Last year, Casamigos unveiled its first new tequila in over five years, Casamigos Cristalino Reposado.
