Bar Swift Unveils New Borough Location, Opening This Autumn

Swift Borough

The team behind iconic London cocktails bars Swift Soho and Swift Shoreditch have unveiled plans for their latest watering hole, which will bring their art-deco aesthetic and world class cocktails to South London with the opening of Swift Borough this October.

In keeping with the distinct identities of the other two sites, Swift Borough will reflect the neighbourhood, amongst other things partnering with Borough Market’s community of stallholders to spotlight seasonal produce on a monthly basis. The team will be spearheaded by Venue Manager Rachel Reid, who began her career with Swift in 2019 before rising to Senior Bartender at Swift Soho.

The layout of the two story space on Borough High Street will mirror the beloved Soho original. Upstairs, guests will be welcomed into a light, bright no-reservations space with a curated menu of classic-inspired and aperitivo drinks. Downstairs will offer a more intimate, seated-only area with an original, high-concept menu created by the award-winning team.

Co-Founder Bobby Hiddleston said, “Borough is such a quintessential part of London, known the world over for its amazing produce, restaurants and nightlife. We are delighted to have the opportunity to collaborate with such a vibrant community to bring our vision of Swift Borough to life.”

Back in March, the bar Swift team hit the road and traveled to some of the best international cocktail bars for a series of guest bartending nights, as part of the Swift Takeover Tour.
